Berry Basil Smoothie
Updated: Jul 13, 2021
It's smoothie season baby!

I have been meaning to put fresh basil in my smoothies for quite some time now. I am so glad I did... wow. It is very subtle but the combination of berries and and basil is so fresh. It is something fun and summery just like adding berries to a salad!
The best part about smoothies are that they are completely customizable. I always begin my creations by taking inventory of what I have. I didn't have frozen berries, but I did have a pack of freeze dried berries.
I love adding in frozen riced cauliflower for fiber and volume. All of my smoothies use plant-based protein, ground seeds and sea moss gel.

Ingredients
1/2 cup frozen riced cauliflower
1 handful spinach
a small handful of fresh basil
1 Tbsp purple sea moss gel
2 Tbsp ground sesame and sunflower seeds (use code CC15 for 15% off)
1-2 scoops vanilla protein powder (use code CACAO20 for 20% off)
3/4 cup oat milk
1/4 cup rose water
Toppings
banana
bee pollen
beet garden granola (use code CFC15 for 15% off)
turmeric lemon myrtle buckwheat (use code CFC15 for 15% off first order)
blueberry jam
Recipe
Add everything to a blender.
Blend it up, adding more liquid if needed.
Transfer to a bowl and top.
